Last night I started learning about clouds. It turns out, there are a bunch of them. Not just clouds in general, but several different kinds! And this morning when Sophie (my dog) and I went for our walk I knew what kind of clouds I was looking at! Or at least I think I knew.

These are Alto cumulus clouds and are considered mid-level clouds, meaning they reside in the mid-level of the Troposphere, which is the lowest level of our atmosphere. They can sometimes warn of thunderstorms to come, or they can move out and leave a nice clear sky. Either way, they're beautiful!
